Conferencing Company Highfive Names Joe Manuele CEO
Highfive today announced new leadership.
Joe Manuele has joined the conferencing platform company as CEO. Richard Borenstein is the company’s new chief revenue officer.
“From the moment Joe joined Highfive’s board, it was clear he shared our passion and vision for the product,” said Highfive co-founder Shan Sinha, who will continue as executive chairman. “He demonstrates incredible knowledge that translates to immense success for his customers, partners, and investors. The fact that we’re able to attract a star like Joe shows the tremendous progress Highfive has made over the years. With him at the helm, Highfive is perfectly set to continue redefining office collaboration on a global scale.”
Manuele joined Highfive this month. He spent the last three years as a customer experience executive at Dimension Data, which is one of Highfive’s backers. (Other Highfive investors include Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, Google Ventures, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.)
Prior to his work at Dimension Data, Manuele worked as an alliance vice president with Avaya for several years. He was executive vice president of worldwide sales for customer support and marketing at Actelis Networks. And he has served as general manager of international sales at ADTRAN.

“The future of business is in the cloud, and those built in the cloud are disrupting the old guard,” said Manuele. “Highfive’s truly innovative take on the enterprise collaboration platform, including its born-in-the-cloud software and dedicated hardware, leaves it uniquely positioned to pull away from the competition and take a lead in this crowded space.”
Borenstein assumed the Highfive CRO post last month. He was previously with MessageBird, where he served as senior vice president of business development. He held the same title at RingCentral for nearly three years.
Additionally, Borenstein has been vice president of business development for ItsOn Inc. and senior director of sales for digital goods at PayPal, which he joined by way of Zong (now part of PayPal). And he’s held numerous other positions at an array of other companies.
